Every baby is a precious gift. But for families who have experienced the loss of a pregnancy, welcoming a new baby is even more special.

When I first spoke to Laura about her newborn photos, she was only a few short weeks from her due date. After experiencing a miscarriage, she and her husband Russell were thrill to be expecting there first child. I am so happy to congratulate Laura and Russell on the arrival of their sweet rainbow baby, Mila.

Baby Mila’s newborn portrait session took place in the families home in Manalapan, NJ. At only a few days old, Mila was the sweetest bay right from the start!

Laura chose a palette of pinks and warm tones for Mila’s baby photos which suited her perfectly. We were also able to take some photos in Mila’s nursery, which was decorated beautifully!

One of my favorite things about photographing newborn in their homes is that we can include furry family members too! During Mila’s portrait in her nursery, the family dog Penelope join it on the action. We were able to capture a sweet shot of Mila, her parents, and little Penelope for their first photo as a family!

Laura and Russell chose to showcase Mila’s newborn portraits in a beautiful album. Since Mila arrived just in time for Mother’s Day, they chose to create gift alums for each of Mila’s grandmothers. What a special way to celebrate Mother’s Day!
